What's on your reading horizon for the remainder of 2020?

DO you plan that far in advance?

Since I belong to the Category Challenge Group, I have selected several categories in which to focus his year, so in general I will be reading some catastrophes, a couple more books from either African writers or more preferably that take place in Africa, and am binge-reading the Poldark series, which I find spellbinding! I always plan reading in advance, with the caveat that I can throw those plans out the window on a whim! I tend to let books languish on my shelf in favor of the newest and shiniest, hence the pre-planning.

Usually I only look ahead by half a dozen books. The three oldest and three newest books from Mt. TBR get pulled and put on top of my headboard. If an get an LTER book, have an ILL come in, or pick up my F2F groups's current selection, that total will go up by a few, of course!

Currently reading Full Circle, by Karen Young, which is a so-so "thriller" about a woman's past coming back to haunt her. I figured out the gimmick about 100 pages in, but she just threw in a murder, so now I at least have something to look forward to. (Current suspect list is down to three.)

Now on the headboard: City of Girls, by Elizabeth Gilbert and The Widow's Walk by Robert Barclay. Am supposed to get Nowhere Near Goodbye by Barbara Conrey as an LTER from September. And will pick up this month's F2F selection on Friday, when I go to the Friends of the Library Book Sale -- which means the newbies at the end of Mt. TBR will change!
