Has anyone here experienced an email from an author that includes a link to a book that is free on Amazon for only one day?
This has happened to me twice in the last month. The email was sent and within 20 hours or so the book was no longer free.
The author/publisher does not answer emails regarding access.
I am wondering if this is a common thing?
As I think about it, these books were from Member Giveaways - not Early Reviewer.
Please remove if it is inappropriate for here.

You probably do want to post in the MG thread.
That said, the author has violated the MG rules in multiple ways.
If it was an ebook, that's a violation of the rule that you can't offer it if it's available free elsewhere. And you can't add additional terms; I would argue that requiring you to go to Amazon and get it there, for one day only, is an additional term.
You might want to drop a line to Katemcangus - kate at librarything.com

Was this to get the book you won, or was it about a different book?
The author is ONLY allowed to use your address to send you the book. Any other use is a violation of the terms of MG.
