OK, gang, my bookshelves are bowing and groaning and I have to thin out. Hoarder tendencies, however, are hard to overcome; therefore I request your wise counsel: If you had to limit your Anne Perry books to fewer than a dozen of her finest instead of everything she's ever written, what would you retain? (Sorry, her WWI series is sacrosanct; it's not going anywhere!)

I have to say that I have stopped reading Anne Perry. Her book in the William Monk series Blood on the Water was very poorly written and filled with grammatical errors. That sort of thing just turns me off a writer. So I would happily get rid of any Anne Perry books in my possession.

Well, I like Anne Perry, but I don't save books unless they rate 5 stars and I WILL read them again. But, I do think the WWI series might deserve a reread and I also liked A Breach of Promise: A William Monk Novel, although probably wouldn't reread it.
When all is said and done, it is your opinion that really counts and how much space you have.

Never enough space! I think A Breach of Promise is still on the shelf--will have to revisit it. I do tend to like her mid- to late-series installments of both Monk and Pitt ... early on, we spent a great deal of time pondering in drawing rooms instead of getting out and about where the action was :)
