Someone talk me out of this. Please. I'm pondering putting my toe back in the NaNo pond this year.
November is a bad month for me to do this, however. We're hosting Thanksgiving at our house, first time as a married couple. The natal celebration happens multiple times during the month for different family and friends. Add to that the possibility of starting a new position at my job and things just look down right overwhelming.
And yet...
I've got the start of an Urban fantasy idea, with maybe a main character, but no real through line for the story.
Brain go wonky. Talk me out of this...

Maybe writing a novel is exactly what you need to distract yourself with this year!

It looks sketchy this year for me too - I have in-laws over, more kids activities than I can count and work is insane. But I would regret it if I didn't try :)
