I'm in 1950 in Atlanta with some of its first African American police officers in Lightning Men.

I'm back in London, a little bit after Season of Blood, in The Deepest Grave. I didn't deliberately save it for Halloween but this is when I had time to read it.

I'm in Istanbul in the first half of the nineteenth century with Inspector Yashim in The Snake Stone. The Sultan is dying and despite being a eunuch, Yashim may be falling in love with the widow of a man whom he might be accused of murdering. The Polish ambassador may have to save the day once again.

I'm in Tibet and India in 1950 in The Mandala of Sherlock Holmes.
