I was just wondering if anyone else in Club Read chooses a selection of creepy books for October in honor of Halloween. My list this year includes The Sentinel, Harvest Home, Finders Keepers, End of Watch, The Bazaar of Bad Dreams, and House of Leaves.

>1 MsNick: There is a group called Seasonal Books, which has a Hallowe'en thread. They would appreciate having your suggestions added:

To answer your question, I sometimes think of reading one for the season, but then don't know any titles, which is where your suggestions would help!

>2 SassyLassy: Thanks! I didn't realize there was a group. I only do this for Halloween, but I'll definitely check it out!

I'll be reading one or more from these books from my tbr shelf:
The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury
The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Miss Peregrine’s home for peculiar children by Ransom Riggs
The little stranger by Sarah Waters
The Lantern by Lawrenson
I have a few by Stephen King but wasn't considering Finders Keepers, which I thought was a straight mystery following Mr Mercedes.

>4 VivienneR: I was just gifted books 2 & 3 of the Mr. Mercedes trilogy, so I lumped them in there! :)

I read horror throughout the year, so, nope. Lol. But this month in the Horror group the theme is "hauntings/ghosts" so that's what my target horror for the month will be, not sure on the specifics yet. :)
