First up again. So far I'd make noted of Jubal Early: Robert E. Lee's Bad Old Man (B+) and Keep From All Thoughtful Men (A-). The first is an effort to get at the foundations of Confederate Lost Cause mentality by examining the evolution of one of the Confederacy's more problematic sons. The second is a debunking of some of the myths of America's mobilization in the Second World War from the perspective of economics.

Finished an interesting, if a bit stylized The Invasion of Canada: 1812-1813 by Pierre Berton.

To wrap up the month there's Operation Barbarossa and Germany's Defeat in the East (A+) and Gotha Aircraft of WWI (B+). The former is a really fine examination of the first two months of the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union conditioned by what we now know of the German military high command's criminality while the second is another book in the author's continuing examination of German military aviation in the Great War.
