The zeitgeist doesn't appear to capture this in any sort of ranking, unless I've missed it? Do we know which reviewers have earned the highest average number of thumbs? Perhaps it's best not to appeal to anybody's competitive nature, else we might have sock puppets thumbing one another's efforts.

Of the reviewers I've seen, here's an example of someone who's been particularly successful. Perhaps we can share other discoveries and arrive at some kind of informal list of reviewers we might learn from: https://www.librarything.com/profile_reviews.php?view=baswood

You'll probably find that the person with the highest average has posted a single review that says "Harry Potter rocks" (or possibly one that says "no" and one that says "meh"...). I don't think you can evaluate quality of reviews statistically.

But Barry would be one of my candidates, with or without thumbs...

As long as I don't have flags, I really don't pay attention to my thumbs, honestly...

Thumbs do not indicate success. They indicate popular reviewers who review popular books and post links to them in high-traffic groups.

Neither the reviewer nor the book needs be "popular." Only visibility matters.

I think they're basically the same, but the point I was attempting to make is that "quality" has nothing to do with thumbs.
