Or at least provide a link to "show all". It's really helpful when trying to sort things out.
Right now I'm trying to work on a split author that has some works put needlessly in separate divisions, CK in those divisions that matches other works in other divisions (and said CK added by different people at different times, so I'm not even sure if the CK is consistent within the division), works by different authors in the same division because they kind of look like they're on similar topics, birth and death dates that don't match up with any LoC info. It's a mess, and there's clearly been a lot of movement and reuse. But if I could match who split what and when to their CK entries, it would go a long way to help me clean things up and move stuff to a better place.
It would also help a lot when somebody decides to randomly "keep undivided" a long split page for no good reason (or, well, I'm sure they had their reasons, but maybe they don't realize what they've done and/or how hard it can be to put back together again).

Yeah, at first today I tried to find it with a search for the word "truncated", which it didn't have. Now it does. :-)

Bump for this RSI, there was a recent need to restore author splits and having non-truncated history would've made it easier: https://www.librarything.com/topic/349045

It can take a lot of time to do the research on one of these authors. It's just heartbreaking to see it all torn up. And if you can't even copy the information out of the history, you wonder why you even bothered in the first place.

Someone give me an example of this happening?

Okay, I've fixed it. I'm worried about the larger pages—anonymous now clocks in at 18MB. But we'll see how it goes.

Possibly related though, the Various author page fails to load. I'll write it up in Bug Collectors.

Damn. That's surely why I truncated it. I'll look into having it be a secondary load or separate page.

Although it's also not permitting change of a primary author to Various on a work. Mentioning in case it's an effect of an already-problem with Various being a huge page.
