Lately it seems all I can find in the realm of Gay fiction comes in the form of young adult novels.
Anyone have any recommendations for good fiction in the realm of LGBT? I've read all the YA.

The Publishing Triangle's list of Top 100 Gay Novels from a few years ago could be a good staring point.

I don't have any recommendations (not because there's nothing recommendable, but just because I don't do much fiction), but another starting point might be to try some tag mashes. Here are some search for books tagged "gay fiction" while excluding "YA" or "young adult":

http://www.librarything.com/tag/gay+fiction,+--YA
http://www.librarything.com/tag/gay+fiction,+--young+adult

I don't know how much the stuff that floats toward the top will be new, though.

If you don't do much fiction, I am also interested in memoir/biographical works related to LGBT. I've read a few (Janet Mock, Kirk Read, David Sedaris) but would love other recommendations if you have them.
Thank you for the advice tags, I've never really used those so I will give it a whirl!

This is a great starting point! Thank you! Every time I search for LGBT fiction I usually get lists of smut. Not exactly what I'm looking for haha

Everytime I look under the category of gay fiction on amazon all I get are these silly male romances. There seems to be so much of that crap being published.

I agree. It's where the market is, sadly, regardless of sexual orientation.

Another resource is the lists at the Lamda Literary Awards website.

Don't let yourself be fooled. Many decent books are being marketed as mm romance, because that's where the market is. It's as if they promoted Agatha Christie's Tommy and Twopence's novels as romance. I admit, the difficult part to find the gold nuggets.

The bigger problem is distinguishing "real" gay literature from what is rather savagely called, the "penis envy" genre. That is, "gay romance" written by heterosexual women for a mainly heterosexual female audience.
