Has anyone read The Annotated Anne of Green Gables? I highly recommend it to any fan of the Anne series - a must own. Lots of great insight and photos into a lot of things mentioned in the book. And not dry or too academic.
I'd also like to hear reviews or recommendations on The Selected Journals of L.M. Montgomery, biographies on Montgomery and any of the many various type books or treasury collections dealing with her works. Although it deals with the Anne of Green Gables movies by Kevin Sullivan and not Montgomery per se, I am dying to hear reviews on Beyond Green Gables: Kevin Sullivan's Designscapes before plucking down $58. (Love the movies, too - although they still aren't as good as the books!)

I have all the selected journals and they're quite the read. Lucy Maud went through some tough times and it comes through in her journals pretty intensely. I would recommend making sure you're in a happy place yourself first before reading them.
It is amazing though to think that she could write such positive, beautiful prose while dealing with so much in RL. They are compelling reading that's for sure.
I also have The Lucy Maud Montgomery Album, compiled by Kevin McCabe, which is wonderful, tons of pictures and descriptions to really give you a really good overview of her life. It's excellent.
