Adrain McKinty has written a lot of great Irish Crime Fiction (I am not Adrian, nor a friend, nor a relative, nor an agent, etc., etc.). He has a blog at the following link: http://adrianmckinty.blogspot.com/ The fourth item currently on his blog is a one-two sentence synopsis of many of the excellent Irish Crime Fiction authors writing today, and that blog may lead you to some new authors, new titles. Enjoy! BTW, I recommend McKinty's "Fifty Grand", a bit more of an action oriented CF piece, probably not for Agatha Christie fans amongst you. The protagonist is a young woman police detective from Cuba pursuing a case in the western parts of the USA. Happy New Year, Maneekuhi

One of my favourite authors is Ruth Dudley-Edwards who writes very funny and satirical whodunits. I have collected all of them and am always on the lookout for any new ones.

Being Irish herself she is allowed to make fun of the Irish and one of her funniest books is The Anglo-Irish Murders
