Do all of the Everyman's books have covers? I bought THE LEOPARD online and it came without one. I'm wondering if I need to send it back and/or call customer service.

The 1991, pre-Random House printings did not have covers for the most part. As particular volumes have been reprinted since 2002 or so, they have come with covers, as have new volumes since then.

You can check on the everyman's website for details on specific volumes... if it says 'Book Jacket Status: Not Jacketed' then there have been no new reprintings that include jackets yet. When you order online, you may get an unjacketed edition even if there are jacket versions (and even if they show a jacketed picture on their site) because they may still have unjacketed editions in stock.

#3, thank you- I didn't know that information was available on the Everyman's site. I appreciate your pointing it out! Now I understand. I wonder if jackets can be ordered/printed out or something. It looks so weird sitting there with all my other EL books in their pretty wrappers.

It doesn't matter to me since I remove the dustjackets anyways. A number of shelves holding Everman volumes (For me 4X48inch shelves) look quite attractive.

This can be quite confusing. For example, Amazon lists Old Goriot with a fetching jacket illustration, but below the description there is a "no jacket" status. I got one without, but where is the jacket shown on the page?
