I noticed Linda just started this book, and it's next up for me as well. Since I recall several of us were planning to read it this month I thought I'd open a thread.

No spoilers allowed here; if anyone wants a "spoiler" thread they are free to create one!

I'm also planning to read this one, not sure when I'll get to it but I will check in here when I do.

I finished Alias Grace today, and really liked it. For some reason, once I got into it I forgot it was historical fiction and kept thinking it was a mystery. So I read it differently -- looking for red herrings and potential surprise plot twists. I need to reflect on this book now, particularly some of the historical messages about the role of women in society

In a way though, it is a mystery. A true "who done it," in my opinion. Looking forward to your review. =)

Just checking in here, now that I've finished reading Alias Grace. I'm struggling with the significance of the title. Think we can discuss that without spoilers?

I wondered about that too, Linda. I thought it had to do with the Mary Whitney thing although like you I'm not entirely clear. If need be we can start a spoiler thread.

I have a thought on the title, but it may spoil it for other readers. So, if you decide to start a spoiler thread, I will add my thoughts there!

OK...I've started a spoiler thread. Get thee over there and spill your thoughts!
