About My Library: I LOVE books, all kinds, and I prolly already own more than I can read, but that doesn't really stop me.

I have more fiction than non. I read a LOT of fantasy, classic, modern and romantic. I've always leaned more toward magic than technology, but I can get behind a good sci fi book too. I'm also VERY into paranormal fiction, with witches, vampires, werewolves, fairies, all that jazz. I love comics and have a few trades. I'm also into role playing books.

My non fiction tends more toward science and creativity. I'm not into war, true crime, history or biographies much. I have a ton of cookbooks, and might actually cook some day ;). I like books of collected facts. I have books on knitting, crocheting, beadwork, gardening, spanish, all kinds of learning books. I have a ton of vet tech books, and books on biology, genetics, dinosaurs, the weather...

I just love books!
About Me: I'm 31, got my BA in animal sciences at UIUC and my AAS in vet tech from Parkland. I live with my daughter Devin and my cat Aiden. I was born in Boston. Now I live, play and work in Buffao Grove.

Life, as always, is chaotic. I'm going through a lot of changes and I'm really learning a lot, about my self and life. Growing and trying to move forward. Devin was born October 5th, 2007, and is doing her best to add to the chaos ;).

I have a love of animals, science (especially life science), books, fantasy, comics, magic, role-playing, anime, dancing, religion, fairy tales, cartoons and mythology... things like that. I watch a lot of Discovery Channel, History Channel, Food Network, Animal Planet, Cartoon Network, a little Disney... One might call me a geek.

Besides loving to read books and comics, I LOVE being creative. I'm not particularly good at it, but it's fun to write, sing, act, dance, knit, crochet, things like that. Barenaked Ladies is my all time favorite band. I am currently obsessed with belly dancing, have been since 2003. I have learned both cabaret and tribal styles of dance, and just performed tribal for the first time in August, at 7 months pregnant! Role-playing is another creative outlet I really enjoy. I love creating new people, giving them stories and lives. Ties into my name obsession, heh.

I love all kinds of games. Board games are great. I love Nintendo. I used to be an avid Magic: the Gathering player, and now I collect Pirates cards.

I also like going out and having a good time. I'm big on social. I love going to museums, seeing shows, movies, concerts and plays, chilling at clubs or coffee shops, going for walks outdoors, wandering around Chicago, all that kind of fun stuff. Even wandering the mall is a good time! I LOVE travelling on airplanes. I'm huge into swimming, and miss the ocean like crazy.

I am very excited to share all that I love and more with my baby. I don't know if I have a little geek in the works, but one can hope. Either way, I can't wait to show my baby the world.
