About Me

Rob Keeley has been writing stories and plays since childhood and had his first magazine article published aged fifteen. He is the author of thirteen books for children, all published by Troubador Publishing. These include the "Spirits" series of ghost novels for children, the first of which, Childish Spirits, was longlisted for the inaugural Bath Children's Novel Award and nominated for the People's Book Prize in 2015. In 2018 the fourth novel in the series, High Spirits, was a winner in the Young Adult category at the Georgina Hawtrey-Woore Awards.

Rob has also written for Chain Gang and Newsjack for BBC Radio 7 (now BBC Radio 4 Extra), had a play Mr Everyone listed for the Alfred Bradley and Kenneth Branagh Awards, and has several magazine credits to his name, both fiction and non-fiction.

Rob's first degree was in Law but he has since gained a Master's in Creative Writing with Distinction. His hobbies include reading, quiz nights (as a competitor or hosting), magic tricks, theatre, TV and going out with friends.

As well as an author, Rob is a freelance editor and proofreader and is available for author workshops, readings, signings and question and answer sessions.
