About My Library
Mainly mysteries and fantasy. I inherited a large part of my mystery collection from my great-great aunt. She gave me the Perry Masons, most of the Nero Wolfes, and a large portion of the Agatha Christies. When I was in the fourth grade. This may have affected my reading habits somewhat, but since I'd already cleared the library of all the Nancy Drews, Bobbsey Twins, Hardy Boys, and Trixie Beldins; I doubt it.

For mysteries, I prefer "cozies" that aren't too overly cozy (after a little while they can get repetitious), British stuff, the odd police procedural (see William Marshall), and comic crime capers. Not to say I won't read a hard-boiled or a thriller, it's just not my normal cup of tea.

As for fantasy and scifi, I'm more eclectic. I'll read everything from farmboys who are princes in disguise,to Japanese schoolgirls who fight aliens, to alternate history with dragons. I'm more of a fantasy buff than a scifi fan, but that's probably due to a childhood of reading every fairy tale I could get my hands on. I also love reading children's books and YA stuff. One of these days I will break down and buy all of the Oz books.

Some of the stuff on here will also be my husband's books, since he doesn't quite get the appeal of cataloging. However, with the rate we buy books, he probably will.
About Me
I am a newlywed, a hopefully newly employed, new to the area not-so-newbie. I'm also an amateur cook, the wife of a wonderful man in the Army, aunt of three hyper but lovable nieces and nephews, and an enthusiastic reader and book collector. Somehow, I now own a dachshund puppy and a German Shepherd/Chow mix. They make typing hard.
