About My Library
My Library is built mainly on memories of what I read years ago. One title leads to a certain time/place wich reminds me of this or that. I feel a bit saddened over the fact that there could be books that I´ve read in the past and forgotten about, not because they were boring and badly written, but on the contrary, because they were true, compelling and right on the (inner) itching spot! Maybe I´m just posing here with my feelings of (possible not certain) loss, but anyway; from now on I won´t forget anything, I will remember.
About Me
My first memories of reading is associated with Enid Blyton, but I can´t remember which title. Then I remember Jules Verne "The Secret Island", I read it loud to my parents who quickly fell asleep. I went to bed without waking them up.
After this theres a gap to the age of 16 when I read Ulf Lundells "Jack", bought in Malmö in paperback. With "Jack" I got my mind set onto the world of books. I remember reading Hemingway, Steinbeck,Karin Boye, Gunnar Ekelöf, Carson Mccullers. My ideas of reading and writing we´re kind of romantic I guess. But nevertheless I put an end to my badmintoncareer and moved to Lund to study at the university.
As the years go by my romantick dreams has changed into other kinds of (still romantic I guess) dreams; endless love, endless (succesful)parenthood, endless personal development.
So in joining LT I´m really looking forward to finding the books that I never dreamed of reading.
Parhaillaan lukemassa
