Tietoja minustaWings of the North is an all-volunteer non-profit 501(c)3 educational organization founded in 1998 and based on Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Our mission is to preserve and present aviation history. Every year we produce the premier aviation event in the Twin Cities area call the AirExpo. The show features about 40 historically significant aircraft and about 50 veteran aviators from World War II through today to meet and hear their stories.
Our hangar is home to a project to completely restore a 1943 Vultee BT15 “Valiant” World War II training airplane to flying status. Volunteers for the project are always welcome!
We have also acquired a collection of aviation books, VHS tapes, and memorabilia that is housed in our new museum along with the beautifully restored P-51 Mustang, Sierra Sue II, the George Bush Sr. Boeing Stearman N2S1, a TBM Avenger and a gorgeous AT-6 Texan.
