About My Library

I used to have a much bigger library than I do now. It is simply because space at home does not allow me to buy the hundreds of books I would dearly love! That said, I seem to be running out of space rapidly as the postie continually brings new purchases.
I am probably more open to new genres and authors now than I was when I was younger. I like to broaden my horizons a bit and find styles of writing I really like. LT reviews are very handy for this very reason. My most recent new find was The Fire Witness by Lars Kepler (a Swedish couple writing together under a pseudonym). I surprised myself by liking it a lot. So now, almost daily my library and wishlist grows well beyond my space for bookshelves. A wonderful dilemma.

About Me

I am a native Shetlander and thrive off the smell of the sea and the howl of the wind.
I have always loved books. Old books, new books, paperback, hardcover, books in other languages (although I cannot read them), the phone book.......books.
I am a published writer, although not yet as a novelist, but I'm working on that one too.
I love discovering authors who are new to me.

I have started a group on here called Charity/Thift Shop Purchases. It's for anyone who buys books from these types of shops, so if you do, please feel free to join and share. Start a discussion about a book if you want or tell us what and where your favourite charity/thrift shop is. Above all have fun.
