Ma bibliotheque est desesperante de conformite. Grands classiques francais, best-sellers du NY Times, prix Goncourt, Interallie, Femina..seuls mes livres "au hasard" donnent un peu de relief a tout ca. Le livre au hasard c'est le livre qui attire par sa couverture, le nom de son auteur, son odeur...
Adorait fouiller pendant des heures dans les rayons du Strandbook de la 12eme. Depuis mon retour à Paris, amazon.com est ma planche de survie.

De retour à Paris après quelques années d'exil dans la grosse pomme. J'ai rapporté dans ma besace quelques exemplaires d'une litterature americaine riche et abondante, et un complexe de supériorité franchouillard bien dégonflé. N'en déplaise aux grands pontes et gardiens de notre intellect national, les anglophones savent aussi écrire...

J'ai pas de plaisir avec les livres neufs, trop plates. Un bon NRF jauni avec les pages mal decoupees ou pliees par son précédent proprietaire, ca c'est l'fun...

I'm not the Henry James type of guy, I'm more Auster-oriented. If ever you happen to wander around my library, don't hesitate to drop a few recommendations on worth-notice books you recently read. I'm always open to new experiences. I'm fed up with the NY Times dictatorship on my picks...even though I'm willingly addicted to it. Please help me, I'm suffering from the Stockholm syndrom.
