About My Library
I read a lot. I mean a lot. Most of the books I own and have read are not listed here because I can't remember them all. As I wish to become a YA librarian, a good number of the books in my library are Young Adult. I have turned to a few Adult books here lately (maybe now my parents won't make fun of me for reading "kiddie books"), like Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series.

I enjoy a good fantasy novel, provided it's not too outrageous, and I've been known to read historical fiction, depending on the time period and location. I like a story that allows me to escape the stress and drama of my everyday life, so I'm generally not too big on realistic fiction. Good characters are a must. Sometimes I will tolerate a less-than-stellar plot if the characters appeal to me.

This is my ratings system:

1 star - Forced myself to finish it or couldn't finish it at all.
2 stars - A mediocre book or one I disliked.
3 stars - A solid book, but nothing I feel very strongly towards one way or another.
4 stars - A book I liked and thought was good and/or one I could see the merit in and know that others would enjoy it.
4.5 stars - Excellent; ultimately a satisfying read.
5 stars - A book that I absolutely loved, would absolutely reread, and just all-around floored me.

About Me
I'm Jenn, a recent graduate from the library science program at IUPUI. I am currently working as a reference librarian at my local public library.
