Books I Wish I’d Read as a Kid

aulsmith: I hated his Space Triology so much that I didn't try anything else of his until I was in my 20s. Should have started with Narnia instead.

cej1027: The boring school books I was forced to read really made me feel intimidated about anything that was a "classic" or by a great author, even ones meant for kids so I avoided these until a year ago.

aulsmith: Didn't discover Heinlein until my teens and then didn't find the juveniles until well into my 30s when my partner recommended them. By that time the sensawonda didn't have the same impact.

aulsmith: I knew this existed, but I was unable to find an unabridged edition until I was in my 30s. Most people only read The Man in the Iron Mask part.
