A picture book following a Creationism model?!?! I know. I'm as shocked as you are. Or let me say I was shocked that we had it in our collection. It's a beautiful book.

All of the illustrations are made by compiling Hebrew letters into the objects. So think on day for (sun, moon, and stars) those illustrations are depicted using letters. I just loved reading something with views closer to my own!

Cute rhyming version of Creation with Hebrew words shaped like the objects they represent, with additional symbols added as necessary. At the end of the book there is a key in which the object pictured in the book is shown along with the English and Hebrew words for it, and a transliteration of the Hebrew. It's a clever idea: as the artist explains in an endnote, "We understand that God created the world with words. The pictures in this book are also created with words."
