MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

What a special book this is. I love it! The story follows the Bible about the birth of Jesus in a way that children will love having this read to them. And Courtney Smith does as exceptionally good job creating the fabulous illustrations. Each page looks like a masterpiece and the pictures go so well with the story on each page. I think every home should have this precious book about the night Jesus was born and the different things that happened. I highly recommend this book to everyone! Even adults will enjoy reading this one. And it gets Five Stars from me!

Who hasn't heard the words 'Twas the night before Christmas', and how many times have you read them out loud? Now, there's another enchanting poem to read to your little ones, but it focuses on Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus's story, from His birth to His Ascension, is told by author Donna Wyland, and she uses the same rhyming rhythm that Clement C. Moore used in his famous A Visit from St. Nicholas. 'Twas the Night Before Jesus explains all that happened during the thirty-three years of Jesus's life, and the text and illustrations are especially appealing. Children will love reading Wyland's words and they'll also enjoy the fun, colorful illustrations by Courtney Smith.

I highly recommend 'Twas the Night Before Jesus, and I hope that it will become a new Christmas classic. Children need to be aware of the true reason for this season of celebration, and this is a book that should be in both home and church libraries!

’Twas the Night Before Jesus by Donna Wyland and illustrated by Courtney Smith is a picture book. My Family loves variations on Twas the Night before. We own several versions and look for new ones every year so I was very excited to add this addition to our collection. This book is a winner, with whimsical pictures and short prose. I love how the author includes Jesus’s life and resurrection, not just his birth. This would make a great gift for a family or a classroom. Our family loved it and will definitely be recommending it to friends!

This is a beautiful book that shares the life of Jesus. It is written as a rhyming poem and will be easy for children to understand. The illustrations are gorgeous and makes the book very attractive. Children will enjoy looking at the pictures as they learn about Jesus. This would be a great gift to give to children as they learn about the true meaning of Christmas.

I would recommend this also to be part of a children’s library and also would be nice to share with children while attending Children’s church. It is an easy to understand story that flows easily and will keep children’s attention.
