Albany Wiseman

The book promises that you will learn how to produce sketches filled with spontaneity and life but I don't think it delivers on this promise. Basically, it seems to me that it has been an opportunity for Albany to publish her own sketches. Sure, she covers off a wide range of subjects from people, landscapes, animals in the wild to industrial settings but it's not until around p70 that she talks about the "how" of sketching and the use of some basic shapes such as cones, cylinders etc.
Some nice sketches in it and one might get some inspiration from it. But it's really not a "how-to" book and doesn't deliver on the promise as far as I can detect. Two stars from me.… (lisätietoja)
