Winterhaven School

This is a basic nonfiction alphabet book all about Oregon. The really cool part is that it was written by students at Winterhaven Elementary School here in Portland!

This is a great book for local children to read. I think that they would really like it, because they might reconize local sites and names in the book. The words are simple and the pictures are colorful and clear. I, myself, enjoyed looking through this book at the different places and animals of Oregon. This would be a great addition to a kindergarten or early elementary classroom.
