- Samantha Warren is a fantasy and science fiction author who spends her days immersed in dragons, spaceships, and vampires. In the name of research, she enlisted the help of her pet dragon Anethesis and together they built a ark-like spaceship. Three trips through a hole in the time-space continuum allowed the pair to explore the universe decades into the past and eons into the future. They discovered how life would be without Earth and were forced to run from alien law enforcement when their ship was deemed unspaceworthy. In the long run, the constant space repairs cut into Samantha's sock fetish fund, so she sold her ark for half-price to a slimy creature that made Jabba the Hutt look like Brad Pitt.

Let me say at the outset that I don't like zombies. They are so not my thing. That being said. I loved this book. I will definitely need to read the next one. Zombies with a thinking ability, what a cool idea. But kinda scary too. I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment. I think this could be the next great zombie tv show. I'd watch this one, unlike the others on tv. It had a underlying sense of humor. I was really pleased with this read. Well written and well thought out. Zombies in the old west. Cool!… (lisätietoja)

sigh... I was totally into this book, up until about 100 pages in. A western for the first third of the book, a bad zombie fanfic that second half, and the third half I only halfheartedly read. If Warren wanted to create a genre-bending book, this could be it; after quickening the pace.

I found this book such a fun read. The mix of zombies in a western a very unique genre.
The characters were real, likable and easy to relate to. They were perfectly described, almost
like 3-D versions coming to life on the written page.
I also love the writing style of Ms. Warren. From the first page I was hooked.
The book flowed nicely, and with the numerous characters, I felt the author managed to keep
the reader current as to what was happening at all times without getting lost along the way.
Highly recommend this book to all and I can't wait to read the next installment.
