This is a cute book about a puppy worried she made too many mistakes to be loved. It also is very specific in pet care, and may be a good book to introduce the responsibility of taking care of a pet.

"New Friends" is the story of a rescued dog, Ms. Addie Pants, adjusting to the varied social situations she finds herself in at her new home. Addie learns that her new friends will still like and accept her despite a few mistakes. The text and illustrations wonderfully convey Addie's energy and enthusiasm for her new life. Kids will easily relate to the familiarity of scenarios Ms. Addie Pants encounters as a new pet in the household. Hopefully, they will also take to heart the book's lessons on trust and forgiveness.… (lisätietoja)

Cute story about an adopted pet afraid of making mistakes and being abandoned again. Good lesson for young children that it is okay to make mistakes. Includes colorful illustrations.

I had a sixth grader read it to his younger siblings and he pointed out several punctuation errors to me. The four year old got freaked out because you could not see father's eyes behind his glasses so he got out a crayon to add them once the book was read. Because you can see daughter Annie's eyes wearing glasses, it is hard to explain why father's eyes are not illustrated. Otherwise, the colorful illustrations show movement and emotion supporting the text very well. I received a copy for review from LibraryThing Early Reviewers.… (lisätietoja)
