~ Netgalley Arc

Thank you to Noor Unnahar, Andrews McMeel Publishing, and Netgalley for this free arc of New Names for Lost Things for a free review.

After falling hard in yesterday i was the moon, which was gifted to me by a friend who knew I would find it impossible to resist, I absolutely couldn't hesitate when I saw another Unnahar volume was being released. I'm so glad to say that having gotten my hands on this early, the whole volume is gorgeous.

I love every single poem in this and found myself wanting to write notes in the sides again. The white and black art that scatters through specific spaces between sets of poems offsets and parallels the messages of the words perfectly.

Winter (Jan 2021 - Christmas Gift);

A gift from a dear friend for Christmas, this was a snuggled up in bed read that gave me so many feelings. The empowerment and survival theme across the whole set have made me so happy.

Name: yesterday I was the moon
Author: Noor Unnahar
Genre: Poetry, Love, Self healing
Review
A beautiful collection of poetry and prose in which the poetess discovers life, love, heartbreak, loss, hope and healing. A personal lyrical antidote which will keep us going.
The poems are empowering and somehow so relatable. I especially love the part where the poetess describes how she got her name, Noor. I found the poems have vibes similar to Rupi Kaur and Amanda Lovelace, or a mixture of both. Her poetries are short, deep and has profound effect on the readers.
The verses are beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time, which will keep us hooked to this series of poetries till the very end.
