This book reminds me a bit of The DaVinci Code, but it tends to go off on tangents of historical, cultural, philosophical, scientific and/or religious bents that many times feel teachy or preachy. I stayed interested up until the characters started discussing the WatchTower with one of the agents's aunts and then my interest waned and never really returned. Too many questions--and while I appreciate the reader finding out the information as the main character does, there were not enough answers forthcoming to hold my interest. The fact that I associate Watch Tower with Jehovah Witness, whether that was meant or not, didn't help the author either. I never did figure out who or what Sparlock is. Somewhere, I saw that references to Sparlock were consistent with fair use, so I feel like it is something that I should know, but don't.… (lisätietoja)
