James was a scientist; a gadget scientist, and he loved designing gadgets. James was also a comic buff, his heroes being Superman and Spiderman; he wanted to fulfil his dream of being a super hero. Using his skills and flair, he created Catman... he could be a cheetah, a leopard, a tiger, a panther... thanks to his unique, state-of-the-art, fibre optic suit. James started to prowl the streets, helping the defenceless against muggers, thieves and more... then he discovered his boss's plan to assassinate the Prime Minister, George Brown, and replace him with a robot; and Catman just couldn't allow that to happen.
James's relationship with Jenny was developing nicely; they planned their first holiday. Catman was developing, too, and of course, he joined James and Jenny on their trip to the USA. But following a meal at a restaurant, Jenny was kidnapped; it was time for Catman to rescue her. But that was not all; a war secret is revealed...
