Lidded picnic basket filled with sewing materials including several antiques of the Flanagan and Kincaid families.

My Grandmother Kincaid had four daughters and she allowed them to choose clothes from the Sears catalog which she then created for them without patterns. I tried doing this when my sons were small, but I fear I was never as talented as she. Almost as long as I can remember I owned a leather sewing kit that had been hers. It was filled with small wooden spools of thread, needles, thimbles, etc. I have always used it and unfortunately in the process have managed to loose all but one on the small wooden spools.

My father's Grandmother Day and his Aunt Grace did tatting - I have the antique tapestry case Grandmother Day kept her supplies in and some of her tools and work.

Many years ago I discarded all but seven of my sewing patterns - These were my favorite - not sure if they are complete.… (lisätietoja)
