The internal conflict that both major characters were affected with, added a good contrast between their individual ethical natures. It also added a worthwhile dimension to the story. This was pretty good. The bit above about traveling with a beautiful reporter implies the two of them will hook up and throughout the novel; I was waiting for that to happen and make the rest of the book become stale and repetitive. It didn’t happen. Greg and the reporter hardly spoke two words to each other.

There was only one bit of writing style that really got to me and I thought was cheese. He would describe the speaker or the focus of the sentence as ‘the experienced thief’ or ‘the young thief” or ‘the experienced Gypsy seducer’ – it drove me nuts. Also he made up the word ‘sluffed’ instead of sloughed. I mean, get a dictionary man!… (lisätietoja)
