As official histories go, this is not bad. Historically speaking it is stronger in the early stages of the book, telling more about the politics of the club's creation and rise to prominence then one would expect. True, it is ubjective in parts but where some embarassing facts exist they are mentioned or at least strongly hinted at. As it goes one to the modern era it begins to focus on the results and on-pitch activities more. This is understandable and interesting considering the recent success, but comment on the club's role in the politics of English and European soccer would be welcome. One last fault lies in the proof-reading. There are some bad spelling mistakes and errors. At one stage the Cup winners Cup is called the UEFA cup, for instance. These faults aside, though, it is well written and interesting, expecially for the fan.… (lisätietoja)
