Helga Schier

While this book does examine the causes of school violence, I feel that author Helga Schier only half-addresses many of the points she makes. Certainly, to fully consider the causes of school violence deserves would require much more than a 100-something page text, but I was left with feeling the book did not deliver. Features of the text, for example the timeline and the essential facts she includes at the end of the book, deserve mentioning as excellent resources. Additionally, her source notes provide readers with clear instructions on where to find further information. As for using this book in classrooms, due to the subject material, I feel students no earlier than 8th grade should be reading this book and students beyond 8th grade may find something better.… (lisätietoja)
