This is a cute comic book about Buffalo Bob's Circus, the missing Buffalo Bob and his animals and his nephew Owen's visit.

When Owen's parents need someone to watch him while they have an appointment, they call on Buffalo Bob, his uncle. They drop Owen off at the Circus much to his chagrin. When Owen finds out that all the animals and Buffalo Bob are missing, he tries to find them. When the circus people find out that "Contorto" Bob's nemesis has him they try to figure out a way to save him. Owen stumbles upon Uncle Bob's magical animal crackers and the fun and excitement begin. When Owen's parents claim him and take him home, he can't wait to go back again.

This is a fun story, easy to read with very colourful illustrations. A nice comic especially for those reluctant readers. A great addition to a school or class library.

Owen, who is skeptical of the authenticity of circuses, and his uncle visit the Buffalo Bob's Rootin' Tootin' Animal Circus one day. Owen is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery; however, all of the animals are missing. Owen stumbles upon Buffalo Bob’s box of animal crackers, which can transform a person into a circus animal after taking one bite, and investigates the prime suspect, Buffalo Bob’s rival: Contorto. As an educator, this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce predicting and making inferences. Due to this book's illustrations, I would assume that this book is intended for 2nd to 4th graders. Personally, I found this book to be fairly entertaining. This book had great illustrations; however, the story itself was lacking substance.… (lisätietoja)
