This text is an excellent primer (or summary, depending on the reader's knowledge) on marketing strategy for academic or public libraries. The subject is adressed in a compact, practical manner, and is complemented with a step-by-step manual for preparing and implementing a marketing plan.
The bibliography mentions a few (ancient) basic textbooks as well as some research papers for further reading, but is overall insufficient for readers who might otherwise have used Elliott de Saéz's book as a starting point in marketing. Except maybe for the chapter on Internet marketing, the age of this book (10 years when this review was written) doesn't matter much, as most concepts are still current and remain well-presented.… (lisätietoja)
