I actually like this series featuring actor Drury Lane a lot better than Ellery Queen and his dad. But this one features WAY too much exposition at the end. And the plot and mystery, while fair, verge on the Grand Guignol. One interesting sidebar: There is an obviously identifiable inherited disease that is revealed about 2/3 of the way through the book. When it isn't immediately named, I thought the author might be deliberately withholding it. But in fact, the disease is never named. A fascinating look at 1932 publishing mores.… (lisätietoja)
