I've learned that I can read sports romance when it's a side plot and not actually a main part of the story haha. Although I do find it hard to pass up a good enemies to lovers story. I am conflicted about how I feel with this one. Everly has moved and is working for her estranged father who has an issue with the person she is casually seeing. He often sends his business partner to pick her up from events with Wes. Declan and Everly have some serious tension pretty early on for sure. When Carl dies, suddenly they find out that the will requires them to marry for a year, with future stipulations to be discussed at three months of marriage. The whole premise of the will was trippy and the legality a bit sketch... however, who doesn't love a fake marriage trope.

I have to admit that while I liked the two main characters it had a lot of moments that I wasn't a fan of. The second part of the will was a big no thank you for me. I have to admit that at times Declan was a bit too much on the possessive alpha male scale. Everly has a very sad background and while it plays a role in the story it doesn't feel like it plays a role until it's able to benefit the plot... the big scene we were waiting for ends up feeling rushed and unnecessary in my opinion. I think that the book had lots of potential and overall it's decent. It has likable tropes and some seriously steamy moments but then so many elements that take you out of the moment. Shain does it again. She knocked it out of the ballpark with this newest addition in this series. Once, I start reading a book by her, I can't stop. This book was no exception.

I loved Keelani and Dex. They shared a strong emotional and physical bond. You could tell that they would always end up together. Dex would do anything for Kee. Ooh the emotions are strong. Yet so is the heat! I could not get enough of these spicy scenes.

While I may say this about each book, I do mean it when I say that this book is my newest favorite. Fans of this series will really love this newest offering and Dex and Kee.… (lisätietoja)

Another emotional hit that will keep you engaged wondering what direction we will head in next. I will admit reading about Izzy’s character in the previous book I wasn’t a fan of her because even after everything she still wanted Dante to be hers even knowing the feelings between him and her sister, yes, I know they had things to work out and Izzy’s work history with Dante made them close but after that many years and nothing happened “he’s just not that into you” I digress. I knew at the end of that book that Cade would be the one to get underneath Izzy’s tough skin, but that would take some time. Cade is tough, a tad controlling, yet I loved his jerk type ways, and I may be the only one, but I like him over her. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed Izzy and her strength it’s just at times she was frustrating. The suspense and storyline were one that kept me glued to my seat devouring it all. Overall, this was another hit by this author, and I enjoyed it.… (lisätietoja)

This book was full of angst, lies, betrayals, Steam…it seriously had it all. Katie is fierce and fighting her own demons while trying to soothe the monster that Rome thinks he is. One second the Steam and attraction is off the charts then the push/pull between Rome and Katie is so frustrating but in a good way. There is so many secrets, twists, turns, that will have on the edge of your seat dying to know what will happen next and that ending!?! Wow can’t wait to see what journey the author has for these characters because it will be intense.… (lisätietoja)
