Jenny Rogneby

This tale of a young woman police officer is disturbing and dark, yet a compelling reading. Leona is hip and beautiful, but she is deeply disturbed and has been most of her life based on flashbacks to her childhood where she started fires and mistreated family pets. She is manipulative and uncaring to the point that she embezzles family savings meant to help her sick son to obtain experimental surgery to relieve his chronic pain. She uses everyone she knows and focuses only on how soon she can leave them to live on her own. The fact that she is in a position of trust both as a police officer and a parent is what makes this character so hard to understand. She just has no feeling for anyone other than how she can use them to meet her own needs.… (lisätietoja)
