The Menagerie was written for the M/M Romance Group's Love Has No Boundaries 2013 picture prompt event. It is told in first person through the eyes of Noah and bartender at a club called 'The Menagerie.'



Noah somehow ends up in the possession of a little tiger cub he calls 'Fluffy.' His life turns upside down when he takes Fluffy to work. Noah also finds out something about Ethan, who's his boss and who Noah has a terrible crush on.

I loved the voice of Noah. The author did an amazing job of making his personality bounce off the page and I could imagine what he was like quite easily. The secondary characters weren't as easy to figure out. Oz seemed broody and not very communicative, but I couldn't get much else out of him.

Events happened quickly in this story. It's a cute, fluffy, feel good read, although this was way to short a story.

The author followed the requestor's prompt well and I give The Menagerie 4 Stars because I really liked the way the author wrote Noah. I just wish the story could have been longer.
