Tonya Ramagos

Overall I liked this book about three cowboys who were all in love with each other but hadn't managed to figure it out until one needed help and the dire situation pulled them all together.

The threat to Jay starts on the very first page and doesn't really let up until well into the book. It kept me glued to the pages. Both Rusty and Cole have their own issues, but the three together are difficult to beat - once they realize they belong together.

Because I was captivated like that, the suspension of disbelief (and I needed quite a bit) was easier to maintain. I thought the villains were a little overdone, more like in a "traditional" western (in line with the whole story revolving around a high-stake poker game). The "family curse" that held Cole back stretched my belief and his need to submit at the very end - well, I had trouble with that only because it was so sudden and the two others took such immediate advantage of it. On the whole though I did like this book and would recommend it to people who don't mind a bit of lacking realism - as long as the underlying story grabs their attention.… (lisätietoja)

This is not an easy book to review. First it was a good story and I will probably buy other books written by this author that said I was a little disappointed with somethings overall. First there is no resolution as to who maybe trying to harm Marissa. Second the story seems rushed and unfinished. I am not sure either Justin would get over the hurt from his past quite so easily. I mean he is pretty angry about what happened with his mother and I am sure Marissa would have had to do some real hard talking to get Justin to see past his childhood. Marissa seems to be a little too submissive and not in a good way.

I did like the sex scenes they were hot and pretty well written. The trio seems well matched overall and I would like to see how the story ends. Part of the problems I have with this story maybe the fact that I read it out of order. The first book may have more details about what is really going on. So I have given a higher rating to the book hoping I will find some of the answers I want in the first story. This is overall a good story I would definitely recommend it.… (lisätietoja)
