Virginia Consortium of Quilters

This could be the best quilt history book I own. It has hundreds of photos of early quilts, including details of some. Those who want patterns should look elsewhere - only one pattern is included and it is technically difficult. (Let me admit my bias here: I have no difficulty drafting my own patterns. Given a choice between patterns and photos, I will choose photos every time.)

One small complaint - the photos are rather small, with several quilts per page. But the book would have been enormous (and enormously expensive) with all of the quilts illustrated at full page size.… (lisätietoja)
