This is a beautiful book, one where you can take a trip through the images alone. I'm not sure just how wonderful the recipes are as I'm not experienced with eating or cooking classically French food. I am however a good percentage of French descent and my tastebuds tell me that the fish recipes in particular look amazing...so I look forward to trying some of them. Another great find by my hubby at a little used book shop.

Wonderful photography of the country and of the food. If you love French food, or France you should buy this book. The recipes, by the way, are also very good, a great cross section of the various gastronomes of France!

A beautiful summary of French geography as well as the regional gastronomies. I tried several recipes and was favorably pleased.
