John Powers (5) (1951–)

A bit different than most B3s (Bush Bashing Books). Powers points up the follies of the Left as well as those coming from the Right. Not to say it’s “fair and balanced” by any means, even the ever-increasing size of Ted Kennedy’s giant melon can’t tip the scales back from the sheer weight of ass in the current administration. What’s it all mean? I don’t know, I stopped looking up the words I didn’t know about two thirds of the way through. Inkhorn.

If you can't get enough of Bush-bashing (and really, who can?) try Sore Winners. Powers goes at it from a slightly different angle, analyzing how Bush has affected our media culture. Well-written and astute takes on reality TV, Krugman, Eggers, etc.
