I liked this book. The author, former Governor of the Bank of Canada rights about the increasing prevalence of uncertainty. And, shortly after the book was published, we saw the Russian invasion of Ukraine and a major inflation surge, showing that we are living with the very uncertainty he writes about.

The author begins by talking about five "tectonic forces" that increase uncertainty: aging population, technological change growing income inequality, rising debt and climate change. While the descriptions of these forces were well thought out and well presented, there is not a lot new here.

For me, the real value-added of the book was the inside view of central bank considerations and actions. This I found fascinating. The book is well written, very personable and human. Well worth reading.… (lisätietoja)
