Enough with the UGH!

This book would be okay for teens. It's pretty shallow, at best. The writing is highly flawed. Please, get this author an editor. Her character says ugh, a lot. Hum, instead of um. She misspelled pus. Puss. I was dying. Clearly in a teenaged mind. I don't know why I keep picking up novels like this.
I had issues with the magic. Es could just summon things out of midair. Using the elements was fine. That's a common way that magic works in many novels, but a lot of things were too convenient.
The spirit wolves were neat. But everyone had a connection to something. People were talking in all sorts of heads whether they were witch, vamp, or spirit wolf. I became confused with all the magical rules, so much so that it felt like they were being broken. There has to be boundaries with magic. Everything does not go.
I only read to the end because of the romance stuff. That always gets me. But I had to skim most of the scenes. I just wasn't invested in the characters. It became painful to read. I just wanted to know the secrets, which, at the end, I finally did, so I could put this novel to rest.
