I loved reading Striking Gold! It was great for this Penguins fan to relive the run through the 2016 playoffs and the Stanley Cup victory over San Jose. It was fantastic to see the Pens win their fourth Stanley Cup in team history. The brief synopses of each game were riveting and the photos were priceless. The book is only 128 pages, so it’s not long. Therefore each game just has its high points and isn’t analyzed in detail, but that’s not the purpose of the book. It’s like a highlight reel. And it’s so short, you can read it in a day easily. It’s oversized, so it’s like a coffee table book and it’s both well written and looks good. It would have been nice to have sections on the team’s previous three Stanley Cups, but that’s nit picking. All in all, this is a very nice book and I’m happy to have it. Four stars because it could have had more but it’s still quite good. Recommended for any Penguins fan.… (lisätietoja)
