- Anne Pingeot is an art historian specializing in French 19th-century sculpture, and is the author of several books and catalogues. She was curator at the department of sculpture at the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. She also was the longtime lover of François Mitterrand, former President of France. They had a daughter, Mazarine Pingeot.
